This October, New York State grantmakers will convene virtually for the 2021 Signature Series!

The event will kick off on Tuesday, October 5th at 2pm with the NY Funders Alliance Annual Meeting and a Keynote Address featuring Dr. Tiffany Manuel. Other sessions will take place throughout the month of October and will include both plenary and networking sessions. Stay tuned for session announcements in the coming weeks!

Please read before registering:

  • You will need each registrant’s email address to complete the registration. Please do not use the email address of the person purchasing the tickets for each attendee.
  • There is a discount for organizations registering more than 5 staff members. Please email our office to receive the discount code.
  • The preferred payment method is by Credit Card. If you would like to pay by check, please email our office and do not complete your registration on the Whova portal.
  • Registration is open to both members and non-members of NY Funders Alliance. If you are a prospective member and would like to learn more about the benefits of joining our network, please email our office.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Tiffany Manuel, President & CEO, TheCaseMade

DrT (as she prefers to be called) is a dynamic speaker, best-selling author and the President and CEO of TheCaseMade, an organization dedicated to helping leaders powerfully and intentionally make the case for systems change. In her role at TheCaseMade, DrT works with hundreds of passionate social changemakers, innovators and adaptive leaders around the United States who are building better, stronger communities that are diverse, equitable and inclusive. By aligning their community stakeholders around the kind of deep systems changes that can improve population outcomes, these leaders are able to grow their impact, scale their programs, and harness the investments they need to improve their communities.

What is Whova?

This year NY Funders Alliance is thrilled to present our Signature Series on Whova – a virtual event management platform. After registering for the Signature Series, each attendee will reactive an email from Whova with instructions on how to access the platform. Each attendee will need to create a Whova login using the same email that was used to register. From there, you will gain access to all sessions, the event agenda, speaker descriptions, and an attendee list. We encourage you to create an account prior to the start of the event so you can familiarize yourself with the technology and trouble shoot any issues with NY Funders Alliance Staff before the day of the event. How will I access sessions?

All sessions will be presented via Zoom through the Whova platform. Once logged in, you will access sessions via the Agenda tab on the left hand side of the screen.

Will session recordings be made available if I cannot attend a session live?

The NY Funders Alliance Annual Meeting, Keynote Session, and Plenary Sessions will be recorded and made available to all registrants. The networking or job-specific sessions will not be recorded.

How can I pay for my registration via check?

The preferred payment method for registrations processed through Whova is credit card. If your organization is unable to pay via credit card and would like to pay via check please email emily@nyfunders.org before registering. Checks can by made payable to NY Funders Alliance and mailed to our office at 431 E. Fayette Street, Syracuse, New York 13202.

What if I need to cancel my registration? 

If you are no longer able to attend the event, we encourage you to transfer your registration to another colleague at your organization. If you are unable to transfer your registration, a 50% refund (minus processing fees) can be issued for registrations submitted before September 17, 2021. After September 17, 2021, no refund can be issued.
